About Lowden Jackson Motorsports
How it Started
Dave and his son Tony Jackson embarked on their journey in the race car industry back in 1971, crafting race cars from their garage in Southern California. Their dedication to design and innovation quickly garnered attention, leading to the rapid growth of their brand, Jackson Racecar Chassis. Over the span of 36 years, the Jackson family crafted hundreds of super late model race cars, including those for NASCAR icons like Ron Hornaday Jr., Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, Brendan Gaughan, Kevin Harvick, and Rick Hendrick.
Meanwhile, Chris Lowden, hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada, found his passion for racing ignited while watching NASCAR events at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Inspired, he pursued a career as a driver, honing his skills at the renowned "Bull Ring" and competing across the West Coast, securing numerous victories. In the late 1990s, Chris set his sights on the NASCAR West Series, acquiring a Jackson Racecar Chassis in 1998. With Chris at the helm and the support of Dave and Tony, he clinched the 1999 NASCAR Winston West Series Championship. However, health challenges forced Chris to step away from racing the following year.
After two decades, fate reunited Chris and Tony at a race in Las Vegas, reigniting their shared passion for the sport. This reunion marked the inception of Lowden-Jackson Motorsports, aimed at competing in the NASCAR ARCA Menards Series. "After Chris and I shared our goals and vision with each other, we both agreed that this partnership would be a solid one with positive results," remarked Tony. Chris added, "It's interesting that after 20 years of not seeing each other, we had the same vision of returning to the industry. With Tony's decades of experience in the business of building race cars and the decades of knowledge I gained in various roles in my family's hospitality business, I have no doubt we will be a top contender in the NASCAR ARCA series; we just have that kind of tie-in."
Aligned in their vision, Chris and Tony aspire to establish Lowden-Jackson Motorsports as a premier organization, dedicated to nurturing young drivers on their journey to professional racing careers. They are committed to representing their fans, supporters, and corporate partners with excellence both on and off the race track, and now have team racing shirts for all LJM friends and family.
